Hospice care can be given to terminally ill patients, including their families.

Who Is Eligible for Hospice Care?

  • Those diagnosed with a life-limiting condition and with a prognosis of six months or less, should the disease follow its natural course
  • Those with illnesses in which curative measures are no longer effective, appropriate, or desired
  • Families and caregivers of these loved ones
  • It is not necessary to be homebound to receive hospice care

Pursuant to the title of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and their implementing regulations.
